Jill Cabes

Jill Cabes was born and raised in New Orleans and is a dedicated wife and mother of four children. Jill is currently pursuing a MA in Theology at Notre Dame Seminary, but practiced as a Physical Therapist for over two decades.  She has spoken at various parishes, schools, and retreats throughout the Archdiocese of New Orleans on topics including growth in personal holiness, enduring trials, fostering self-esteem in girls, and the dignity and sanctity of women.  Along with her husband Scott, Jill has been involved in several ministries promoting the beauty and sanctity of marriage, including service on the Archdiocese Family Life Advisory Council, mentor couples in the Evenings for Engaged marriage preparation program, presenters at Willwoods Marriage Retreats, speaker couples at Supper and Substance programs, and participation in the Willwoods Marriage Video series.

Jennifer E. Miller, S.T.D.

Cajun by birth, Dr. Jennifer E. Miller completed pontifical degrees in theology at the Pontifical Universities of the Angelicum and the Gregorian, studying as well as the John Paul II Pontifical Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Rome and obtaining her doctorate with a thesis in Catholic social doctrine at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in 2013. Former coordinator of studies at the Markets, Culture and Ethics Research Centre at Holy Cross, Dr. Miller is currently a professor of moral theology at the Notre Dame Seminary, Graduate School of Theology in New Orleans, Louisiana. Having taught courses on moral theology and business ethics in the United States and in Italy, with publications both in English and in Italian, her research focuses on the cultivation of a more Scripturally focused methodology in moral theology and the theological foundations of Catholic social doctrine.

 

Susie Veters graduated with a MA in Theology from Notre Dame Seminary in 2003. She is currently serving as the Director of the Institute of Lay Ecclesial Ministry of Notre Dame Seminary (ILEM). ILEM is a formation program for lay ecclesial ministers for the Archdiocese of New Orleans designed to prepare lay leaders, commissioned by Archbishop Aymond, to serve in parishes, schools and ministries in the Archdiocese. She is also a Certified Public Accountant. Susie has participated in and directed many programs of ministry in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, including the Evenings of the Engaged Program designed to prepare couples for marriage, retreat programs to strengthen marriage and families, and the promotion of Eucharistic Adoration as the first Director of the Office of Eucharistic Adoration in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. She is currently Treasurer and a founding Board member of Christ the Builder, a mission program that organizes mission trips for families and teenagers to build homes in impoverished areas. Along with her husband Pat, Susie is also Co-Chair of the Willwoods Community, which serves the Greater New Orleans area in many ways, including the provision of low-cost housing, senior living, and WLAE public television. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the Southern Dominican Province. Susie and her husband have three sons.

Daniella Zsupan-Jerome is assistant professor of liturgy, catechesis, and evangelization at Loyola University New Orleans. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theology from the University of Notre Dame, a master’s degree in liturgy from St. John’s University in Collegeville, a master’s degree in religion and the arts from Yale Divinity School, and a Ph.D . in theology and education from Boston College. Her research focuses on media and ministry, especially digital media and its potential for faith formation. She is a consultant for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Committee on Communication and author of the book Connected Toward Communion: The Church and Social Communication in the Digital Age (Collegeville: Liturgical Press, 2014.) She has also published a number of practical and devotional resources, including Liturgy Training Publication’s Daily Prayer 2013, Arts and Faith Advent and Lent from Loyola Press, and regularly contributes to Liturgical Press’ Give Us This Day series.
